Still, this does not give you a pass on presenting such backgrounds. This mod lacks merit in that Scrapping and redoing maps is a must at this point if the mod has any hope of being passable. ok, gotta try to make more oregano, what maps do you think should be scrapped, keeped or redesigned?

The link that you send was website that i never seen someone use it for downloand link mods which doesn't really suprises me that it doesn't work. Seeing the screenshots and how nDiBi noticed how entire maps are port makes me not interested to play your mod at all. The maps just feel lazy because you decided to take them from other mods, have some few changes and its done. I'd suggest you to make all maps by yourself or have help from somebody to make it to make it at least passable for me (Yeah that means your most likely have to start all over again). One more thing. If that website keeps having issues with downloading i suggest you not using that.

To answer the first question, I unfortunately have to say that an entire reworking of maps from the ground up will be needed. The fact that the maps are either ports or poorly created images makes me feel this needs a BIG reworking. To answer for what my favorite map is, I honestly cannot answer it. Looking at all the maps, I can't pick one that isn't a port that I think I can call my "favorite" As to having a 2016-2017 mod essence, I really, REALLY think you do not want that. That kind of design is way behind and you should focus on giving it a good looking design as opposed to what was deemed good in 2016-2017. Like I said, sadly I think this has a lot of work to be done if this hopes to be good, but if you're willing to put in the work and take criticism it has a chance of being decent. Best of luck.

I have played the mod a bit and I am gonna answer these questions myself. For the first question: Probably recreating most of the levels to quality like the ones you did in level contest, WAY less asset spamming, and an improved and a bit more original plots. For the second question: I don't know, the ports were kind of boring, and the levels that were original weren't the best either. There were some levels that made me just feel... sad. Mainly the levels like the Scarab meme one. Try scrapping older and worse levels and try replacing them with newer and better levels. For the third question: Something that is giving a vibe to the old mods that aren't ports, but rather a remake of those levels with a simular style. Overall, there is still alot of stuff that you can improve on, and as what I have seen from you in the level contest, I have faith you are going to fix the mistakes that we point out and make a better and more enjoyable mod.

So I got through the entire beta, now here are my thoughts:
1. My initial assertions based on maps were unfortunately not changed. The maps still fail to meet expectations on basically all levels. 2. I had to shorten the winConds on later levels due to how slow and uneventful some of these levels are. 3. Tunnels and Tracing. Both of these need MAJOR improvement on a large portion of maps.
Needless to say, as others and myself have stated, if this has any chance of being good, a major rework is required

Torterra's Adventure Chapter 1 - Quest for the Stone Eye is going to be redone from Zero!
The reason why it is going to be redesigned is because i've seen that no one liked my mod, so i'll try to remake it from zero, starting with a new story, new graphics, and new maps, being better that the current beta, so you'll notice many big changes during the developement from the beta, the developement is going to be noticed in a thread callled "Torterra's Adventure Chapter 1 (Quest for the Stone Eye) - Developement and Changes"

This decision, if you ask me, is the best possible action you could have taken. I am pleased you are taking the criticism as it comes and realizing that a rework is required. Try your best to make map quality to match that which you gave during the level contest and I'm sure your mod will have a shot at being good.

If you have made that map, do show. Speaking of maps (something I forgot to comment on with the beta) LESS MAPS. A first mod should not be extremely ambitious with map count. I'd recommend sticking with the 25 normal order map count if not slightly over. 50 smth maps and taking until stage 8 for repeats to happen is too many.
