I believe that everyone in this forum knows about the web version of zuma, which has recently been forgotten and which may be in "danger". Zuma Online Buffed is a project of mine that started in January of this year that aimed to bring the experience of Zuma Online without the need to be on a website or use the adobe flash player plug-in. until on the 20th of June, I released the first version of the mod, which brought a more difficult difficulty, like many mods of Zuma Deluxe, but in Zuma Online. it was not easy to go to Zuma Online side, because doing it cost me a lot of skill that I didn't know I had. Besides that, Adobe, creator of Flash Player, announced the end of the plug-in for December of that year, which is the plug-in that is used to run Zuma Online. And this was a great opportunity to show the value of the web version of zuma and the secrets behind it. I usually make updates to the mod to bring a better experience for everyone. if you have any suggestions for future updates, comment on this thread or chat with me on discord, my tag is: P3drin_Above # 8955 Update history for each version: Version 1.0 --> Mod Release Version. Version 1.1 --> Added custom backgrounds; --> Updated Levels Buffed file. Version 1.2 --> Change in some backgrounds; --> Better Sounds; --> Added a better quality to the frog. And the latest version: 1.3
--> Added sounds to some buttons that did not emit a sound;
--> Updated instalation instructions.txt;
--> Removed some unnecesary buttons;
--> Big change in levels buffed file;
--> Changed the pre-defined levels.xml file to the normal difficulty.
Download: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1vYYZI7DH0z8D69deBYQhzmL7mAgsGQwE?usp=sharing
in this thread, I will show curiosities about the online version and what you can do with it. Here are some images of the mod. It was really hard to make this game playable without using a website. Please read the instalation instructions.txt file before playing the mod. I hope you like the mod - P3drinAbove, The creator of Zuma Online Buffed

time to go a little further! zuma online paths are a little different from the deluxe version, so it will be a little difficult to adapt to that version. here's an example of what the paths are like:posX.spiral2 = [-15.35897,64,64,64,64,64,65,64,64,64,64,64,64,65,64,64,64,64,65,63,64,64,64,65,64,64,64,65,64,64,64,64,64,64,64,64... posY.spiral2 = [176.2315,-76,-77,-77,-78,-77,-77,-78,-77,-77,-77,-77,-77,-78,-77,-77,-78,-77,-78,-77,-77,-77,-78,-78,-77,-78,-78,-78,-78...
that's not even 10% of the path.
as you can see, there are negative and positive numbers.
in posX, there are positive numbers, which means which way the spheres go.
being a positive number, the spheres go to the right side, and then the numbers become negative, going to the other side, over time, forming a spiral.
in posY, the spheres go up when it's a negative number, and go down when it's a positive number
I still don't know exactly what the digits do. over time, I'll come to a conclusion.
here's an example of the path I did:
triple paths also work.
as always, 4-5 paths do not work.

That makes things even harder, and i thought hex editing was hard. So unless somebody would actually be willing to make a whole modification of the game, i doubt anyone would want to spend days/weeks/months making paths and stuff.

I understand your frustration about this, but what you can see is that it is not impossible. it really won't be easy to fully understand how to edit the paths.
we need to be positive, even if it takes a long time to be easy.

There were no frustrations here (and no i wasnt frustrated). I only meant that even if it was possible. I doubt that people are gonna mod it.

Zuma Online: Expanding knowledge why put zuma online if everyone knows the thread is about zuma online? If you haven’t noticed, I’m a fan and expert of / in zuma online. There are a lot of things that I know that you probably don't know. and one of them I’m going to show you today. if you don't know, zuma online has had several different versions. Of these, only two are playable today.PopCap, before being bought by EA, had its own website where it advertised its games and their online versions. among these games, there was zuma online, which had a version that is very different from the flashplayer plugin. among those versions, I have no idea which one was released first. but logically, the version of the PopCap website must have been launched first. one of the differences of these versions is the images of the levels. for some reason, the images of the levels are quite different from the others (some not so much). the first example is the level doubledip.
flashplayer version // PopCap version There are notable differences in the two images. the images are the same, but the colors of both are slightly different. the flashplayer version has only red colors while the PopCap version has red colors and dark colors where the spheres go.
There are other differences that you can see, like the frog, the skull, and some others that you can't see in the images, which are the animations.

I believe the path system in Zuma Online is exactly the same as Zuma Deluxe's path system, albeit in a decimal format, not hexadecimal. Maybe a Deluxe path could be ported to the smaller Online version?

I believe the path system in Zuma Online is exactly the same as Zuma Deluxe's path system, albeit in a decimal format, not hexadecimal. Maybe a Deluxe path could be ported to the smaller Online version? this is something that I have already tested but the opposite you said, and that can lead me to do a part 2 of expanding knowledge!
in popcap's zuma online archives, i found the levels .dat files, and the first thing i tried to do was put the paths in Zuma Deluxe. And the result was great! (not totally)
this was the result:
as you can see, the paths only reach up to 480-360 pixels from the entire Zuma Deluxe screen, as shown in the images in part 1.
this version has another curious fact.
in the levels.xml of the popcap version, I found a graphics id with a level called "test". and it also has a setting called "drawcurves =" true".
I will show how the configuration is.
<Graphics id="test" curve="test" drawcurve="true" gx="240" gy="175">
<TreasurePoint x="50" y="310" dist1="15" />
<TreasurePoint x="416" y="140" dist1="45" />
<TreasurePoint x="110" y="107" dist1="73" />
</Graphics>
believe it or not, I didn't do it!
but this is almost useless because I didn't find his .dat file.
but in any case, it is a curious fact!
do you think it's over? of course not!
this version of zuma online has something that I thought was impossible to happen.
the image I show speaks for me:
this will be for part 3. it is very difficult to explain it.
and answering your question, the paths of zuma online (popcap) are identical to those of zuma deluxe, but the flash player version is not.
but it's an interesting question, beacuse nobody tried to do it.

Zuma Online: The Lost Stages yea. it may seem crazy what I'm saying, but it really exists. zuma online (popcap) has more than four stages!
what you should probably be asking yourself is:
----"how are the lost stages?"
----"how did you manage to do that?"
----"why don't these stages appear when we play normally?"
well, the most important question is how are the lost stages.
I will make a "chart" to show, in my experience, how all stages are.
Stages 1 ~ 4 -- A normal and good experience
Stages 5 ~ 7 -- Preparing for hard mode
Stages 8 ~ 9 -- Hard mode starts, preparation for hell mode
Stages 10 ~ 11 -- Hell mode starts
Stage 12 --
Stage 12 is unanswered as I have so far been unable to reach it.
another question is why the lost stages don't appear in the game normally.
Answer: As I can show, the lost stages are too inappropriate to appear in the game normally.
and the last question is: how did you do that?
Answer: The way in which I managed to release these lost stages is very complicated and complex. if anyone wants to know how to get to these lost stages, you can add me on discord, my tag is: P3drin_Above#8955
Warning: These lost stages are extremely difficult and complicated to pass. only players with great ability are able to get past them.

Zuma Online Buffed 1.3 Update I'm sorry if I'm creating multiple posts. the inactivity in this forum is something that does not help. well, leaving the popcap version a little bit, I decided to a update to the flash version.
on my youtube channel, I was already updating Zuma Online Buffed, so I decided to enter the forum to have a second way to show my mod to everyone.
but then, the update have: ---> Updated Installation Instructions.txt;
---> Added a sound for some buttons of the game that did not emit a sound;
---> Removed some unnecessary assets (some buttons like "Upgrade to Zuma Deluxe" and "Try Zuma Deluxe for free" because they didn't do anything in the game; *maybe, if possible, i can make those buttons usable as "Go to Sphere Matchers" or "Try other SM mods".
--->Big change in Levelsbuffed.xml to balance the hard difficulty a little;
---> Changed the pre-defined levels.xml to the normal difficulty.
Download button (What you probably most wanted)
