Edit 7/26/2018 - The mod is no longer named "Community Made Zuma Week Mod" and the "Week" has been omitted due to the fact that a full mod cannot be released on a week. Vanilla paths are no longer allowed and level count is now raised to 22.
- - - - -
And don't worry - Caffeine supports this
People Helping Out Yalek W (not in forum) - .mo3 Composer - You may use his zuma.mo3 for your Zuma mods, but you must give credit to him.
Guidelines Please follow these guidelines or your map will be likely denied! - Don't make your path too short or too long. Nobody likes a FF 1F-long path, that's just boring. And 1-pixel long paths too. That's impossible.
- Don't make sloppy maps. This includes Paint backgrounds, glitchy/weird paths, tunneled sections that aren't covered and the like.
- Your custom path shouldn't crash.
- Common sense guidelines as well - no impossible danger zones, spaced out spheres due to a bug in the dat file, epileptic assets, eye-hurting BGs, etc.
- Don't make copyrighted/inappropriate/offensive backgrounds/assets.
- When possible, send a background of your level. Else, just send the path!
- Don't send vanilla paths. They're no longer allowed!
FAQ If you have a question, read this first. If your question isn't in this section then reply to this thread. - What if I literally can't think of a name and/or background? - Send the dat file to me by either forum PM or Discord. I will make the level and BG afterwards. Discord Tag is CrushyGreenRen#1539. - Are vanilla paths allowed? - No. - But you said they were allowed! - Too late. - Can I help out and do X? - Forum PM/Discord DM me for more info. You may also reply to this thread. - How can I make a Zuma path? I want to know!
Map Statuses Here are the three statuses of a map when it's submitted.
DENIED - Your map does not follow the guidelines. TRIAL - Your map does follow the guidelines, but with small errors, such as incorrect tunnels, weird rolling glitches due to the dat file, etc ACCEPTED, UNDER CONSTRUCTION (PATH) - Path is work in progress ACCEPTED, UNDER CONSTRUCTION (BACKGROUND) - Background is work in progress ACCEPTED, UNDER CONSTRUCTION (BOTH) - Both path and background is work in progress ACCEPTED, FINISHED - Congratulations! You made it.

A possible port of CMZM... for the PSP?!
You heard me! A possible port of CMZM. For the PSP! Well, not exactly - maybe this'll be cancelled, I got no idea. But first, I'm going to do the obligatory "make the fans extremely hype for something". Once that everything's clear, I might work on this a little bit further, but I've got something like a "base" to work upon. Let's look at the juicy details: - The modifications for the XMB preview (XrossMediaBar) do work! It's nothing too fancy, but here's something to tease you. Yes, I have a real PSP with PRO-C custom firmware. Thank my sister's friend, ok?
- Some of the music has been changed.
- But don't get your hopes extremely high if you happen to own a PSP... because launching the game just does this. Ouch...
It seems that the reason why this happens is the file size is not equal. For some reason, the file sizes has to be equal, no more, no less - and yes, it's really stupid. But don't lose hope. It's not like there's an emulator called PPSSPP, right? RIGHT?! The modifications load and work if the .iso is extracted, so if you happen to have a decent phone, you're in luck, hence "Take me anywhere", NOT "Take me anywhere if you have a PSP". Just make sure you've got a decent Android phone and you should be A-OK once it does come out. Now, before you all shriek - yes... modding it is much, much, more complicated. The actual game data is in *.xpr files. Thankfully, I have someone who has extracted them, but the real problem will be reimporting them. It'll be a real pain when testing levels. Ooooof. And here's the obligatory hype video.

PROGRESS UPDATE! SEPTEMBER 5, 2019
Things are ok, I guess? FROG'S TEMPLE- Due to some complaints, the path for Double Halo will be changed. I hope that the creator of the map will be fine with such re-pathing. Also, I made the path now! Yay me.
- A fix for Garden Warfare might be made, smoothening out corners and extending the danger zone.
UI/UX- Updated the SM Logo in the loading screen and the god head.
- Gauntlet Mode will now be Challenge Mode due to localization issues.
- The font will be slightly changed. The gradient and drop shadow will now be removed, allowing for more space for text.
- Menu buttons will be changed and will no longer be purple stone things attached to a big stone thing for localization (and I've lost the psd files, save the Adventure one...)
LOCALIZATION- I'm glad to announce Alternate English! It will have improved text strings to fit the mod much better.
- All localization will be worked on Alt.English.
- The current localizations are: French, Polish, Indonesian, Hungarian.
- THERE IS NOT ANY DEFINED RELEASE DATE FOR ANY OF THE LOCALIZATIONS NOR ALTERNATE ENGLISH!
OTHER- The PSP port might be stuck in development limbo. The person who has extracted the files has told me that recompiling files into the .xpr file format is very hard. Oh well.
- A co-host might be needed soon! Personal issues are attacking me. However, this is a great responsibility to have. If you think you've got it, let me know.
That's it for now!

PROGRESS UPDATE! SEPTEMBER 20, 2019
Happy belated (by 5 days) 10th birthday to Zuma's Revenge, by the way. There's also a "speech" below, it's kinda important. FROG'S TEMPLE- Introducing Double Halo 2.0! OrangeBunny123 and I have made the background. Mostly OB, I just took care of the halos.
UI/UX- Gave the Instructions screen a classroom-like look.
- Aside from being better in general, it was an attempt to fit text that exceed 3 lines at the bottom... but, it failed.
- The menu buttons have been changed.
LAUNCHERPLANS- A "Usable Asset List" spreadsheet list, since some assets are ported.
- Overwrite the 1.0 (protected) file to the latest public release.
THE FUTURE OF CMZM (A "speech") Since pretty much everyone's in school, development has been slightly sluggish. Sure, pure laziness exist but more sluggish, in fact; even before school, development of Frog's Temple was so slow. This doesn't mean I want to cancel the mod altogether and leave it at that; after all, the idea of map packs was to give everyone more chances to participate in the mod, and more "community" after all.
I. Distractions To be fair here, even I have fall into the common pitfalls of the Development Limbo, even way before CMZM's actual conception. I often procrastinate and play other games. Usually non-SM games, because my interest has been somewhat going away, even for the partner's Bejeweled games. Most of the time, I mostly play games I've been interested in nowadays (with Brian's game interests being a giant factor). It's not like they're *bad*, I just forget I have a project to work on.
Another pitfall is the "2 or more mods in development limbo". I'm looking at Tropical Paradise of Easiness. I created that mod solely for the newbies to have fun at, but with my mind having a new idea for a mod over and over again, it's just tiring.
II. Life's Ups and Downs As regulars in the Discord server have known of late, real-life issues have started to plague my life. Aside from dropping myself out a few years ago, some realizations about myself have made me internally stress, especially during certain days of the week, and had sometimes give me zero motivation to do anything. This is the exact reason why I looked for co-hosts for the mod.
III. Exposure Someday, I might give this mod more exposure, such as publishing it to other modding sites, but it's just all but a plan for now. Maybe those people have heard of Zuma Star Wars, maybe they could use some breath of fresh air. I once contemplated showing it to the man himself, Jason Kapalka, once, but ended up not doing it.
I already have a post of the mod in the r/GameMods subreddit, but that being a small sub, it didn't really gain much traction (and the post date being a month before release).
*sighs in relief* With this aside, I hope you will still stick to the mod's development, and maybe help if you'd really like. Crushy out!
